5 Can't-Miss Things To Do In Albuquerque With Kids

5 Can't-Miss Things To Do In Albuquerque With Kids
This family ❤️:
  • Petroglyph National Monument
    • We visited Petroglyph National Monument on our second trip to Albuquerque. We started by learning about the site's history and importance to the local Indigenous community at the visitors center.
    • ✨ The kids loved exploring the trails and seeing the petroglyphs. We also appreciated the Junior Ranger program, where a ranger took time to talk to our kids about what they had learned.
  • ABQ BioPark
    • We had a great time at the ABQ BioPark, which includes the zoo, aquarium, and botanical gardens. We started our day by taking the train to the gardens and aquarium.
    • ✨ Our kids loved seeing all the animals at the zoo, especially the train that took us around the park. We all enjoyed lunch at the aquarium cafe, which had great views.
  • Sandia Peak Tramway
    • We visited the Sandia Peak Tramway, but decided not to ride the tram due to poor visibility from the smoke of forest fires. We enjoyed the views from the base of the mountain.
    • ✨ The view from the base of the mountain was stunning, and we appreciated the honesty of the employee who told us the view from the top wouldn't be much better.
  • Santa Fe
    • We took a day trip to Santa Fe, which is about an hour drive from Albuquerque. We enjoyed exploring the main plaza, visiting the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, and checking out the Georgia O'Keefe museum.
    • ✨ The kids loved seeing the chilies drying in the sun, and we all enjoyed the delicious New Mexican food in Santa Fe. We also liked the Georgia O'Keefe museum, which had some amazing artwork from her later travels.
