    • We walked over to the Kemah Boardwalk, and had fun walking around and playing a lot of the boardwalk games.
    • ✨ He was particularly proud of the large stuffed raccoon he won through water pistol accuracy.
  • Rothko Chapel
    • We took an Uber over to Rothko Chapel, a simple meditation garden and chapel in Midtown.
    • ✨ My son said that it was “really cool”.
  • Houston Museum of Fine Arts
    • We visited the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
    • ✨ We loved the museum – one of our highlights of the weekend.

    • We visited Space Center Houston to see the different space capsules and exhibits, including the moon rocks and mars rocks. We also took the tram tour to NASA Johnston Space Center and Historic Mission Control.
    • ✨ The kids loved seeing the space shuttles and getting to touch the moon rocks. I really enjoyed seeing the technology used for space exploration and learning about the astronauts' training and experiences.

    • We visited the Houston Space Center with the kids and saw a scale replica of the space shuttle and hundreds of exhibits, including real Gemini, Apollo and Mercury space capsules.
    • ✨ The kids loved the space-themed play area and walking through the Skylab Training module. My husband and I were mesmerized by the collection of space suits.
  • Houston's Street Art
    • We took a walk around the city and looked at the street art. We saw the Biscuit Paint wall, the Hummingbird Wall, and the Houston Is Inspired mural.
    • ✨ It was fascinating to see how different artists express themselves and how their artwork transforms the urban landscape. The kids loved the colorful and playful murals.
  • Kemah Boardwalk
    • We spent the day at the Kemah Boardwalk, riding the carousel, Ferris wheel, and high-speed wooden coaster.
    • ✨ We all loved the thrill rides and the kids were especially excited to hand-feed the stingrays at the Aquarium.
  • Waugh Drive Bridge
    • We went to watch the Mexican free-tailed bats emerge from under the Waugh Drive Bridge at sunset.
    • ✨ It was amazing to see so many bats flying out in formation. The kids were a little scared at first, but they were fascinated by the sight.
  • Houston Museum of Natural Science
    • We spent a few hours at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, exploring the Morian Hall of Paleontology, the Planetarium, and the Hall of Ancient Egypt.
    • ✨ The kids loved seeing the dinosaur skeletons and learning about prehistoric creatures. I was impressed by the collection of mummies and artifacts in the Hall of Ancient Egypt.
  • Children’s Museum of Houston
    • We visited the Children’s Museum of Houston and let the kids explore the interactive exhibits.
    • ✨ The kids loved the Power Tower and the inventor’s workshops. It was great to see them learning and having fun at the same time.
  • Buffalo Bayou Park
    • We spent a few hours in Buffalo Bayou Park, walking along the trails and enjoying the natural beauty of the park.
    • ✨ It was a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. The kids loved the dog park and the skate park.

    • ✨ There is definitely something for everybody here in this park.
  • Memorial Park
    • We saw beautiful trails where people can go for a leisurely stroll, softball fields, sand volleyball, tennis, and croquet courts, free space for pick-up flag football and soccer games, a driving range and 18-hole Memorial Park Golf Course, swimming lanes at the Memorial Park Fitness Center, and onsite burger joint, Becks Prime.
