Spokane

Spokane is a city located in the state of Washington, United States. It is the most populous city in eastern Washington and the county seat of Spokane County. The city lies along the Spokane River, adjacent to the Selkirk Mountains, and west of the Rocky Mountain foothills. Spokane is known as the birthplace of Father's Day and is nicknamed the 'Lilac City'. The city has a rich history, with the first people to live in the area being the Spokane tribe, and later became a major settlement with the completion of the Northern Pacific Railway in 1881. Today, Spokane is a vibrant city with a strong economy, cultural attractions, and outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is home to several parks, including the Riverfront and Manito parks, as well as the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, the Davenport Hotel, and the Fox and Bing Crosby theaters
