What to expect

The International Fountain is a public fountain located in the Seattle Center, designed by Tokyo-based architects Kazuyuki Matsushita and Hideki Shimizu for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. The fountain was designed to reflect mankind's efforts to explore outer space and features a unique design with water jets and parabolic shapes. The fountain has undergone several renovations, including a 1995 rebuild that removed protruding nozzles and irregular white rocks, allowing visitors to approach and play with the fountain. The fountain is a popular attraction for families, with a large, open space surrounding it that is perfect for kids to run around and play. The fountain also features a mistifying display to a locally curated playlist, making it a great spot for photos. Additionally, the fountain is environmentally friendly, with all of its water being recycled and treated with three types of natural treatments before it reaches the public
