Boeing Red Barn

Museum exhibit Seattle, Washington, United States

What to expect

The William E. Boeing Red Barn is a historic building that reflects the early days of aviation. It is the birthplace of the Boeing Airplane Company and features a warm, human-scale architecture with post-and-beam construction, wooden mullioned windows, and skylights. The building has a relaxed, rustic ambiance and is home to artifacts from the early days of flight. It is also available for private events, such as intimate dinners and receptions, and can accommodate up to 90 guests for banquets and 150 for receptions. The Red Barn is a significant part of aviation history, having been the site where the first Boeing aircraft were built, including the B&W and the B-1, and where engineers designed the famous B-17 and B-29 bombers during World War II
