What to expect

The Wenatchee River is a river in the U.S. state of Washington, originating at Lake Wenatchee and flowing southeast for 53 miles, emptying into the Columbia River immediately north of Wenatchee, Washington. The river attracts kayaking and river rafting enthusiasts and tourism. It passes through the towns of Plain, Leavenworth, Peshastin, Dryden, Cashmere, Monitor, and Wenatchee, all within Chelan County. The river's primary tributaries are the Chiwawa River, Nason Creek, Peshastin Creek, and Icicle Creek. The Wenatchee River valley is a highly productive agricultural region, but it has been found to be polluted with toxic chemicals, including PCBs, which have been detected in mountain whitefish. The river offers various activities such as fishing, swimming, kayaking, rafting, and inner-tubing, and has several parks, including Enchantment Park and Waterfront Park, along its banks
