What to expect

The Hoh Rain Forest is a temperate rainforest located on the west side of Olympic National Park. It is one of the finest remaining examples of temperate rainforest in the United States and is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including giant trees such as Sitka Spruce, Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maple, and Douglas Fir. The forest floor is dense with undergrowth and the canopy is thick, providing shade and habitat for animals like Roosevelt Elk, Black Bears, River Otter, and many others. Visitors can explore the forest via two short loop trails and an out-and-back trail near the Visitor Center, and guided walks and talks are offered during the summer. The Hoh Rain Forest is a great place for families to visit and explore the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest
