The Stimpson Family Nature Reserve is a 350-acre nature reserve located in Bellingham, Washington, featuring undisturbed old-growth forest and thriving wetland ecosystem. The reserve has a trail system with two connected loops, including a 3-mile Main Loop that gently climbs through Douglas-fir, western hemlock, and redcedar trees, and a shorter Geneva Pond Loop that circles a small pond. The reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including beavers, deer, and birds, and offers scenic views of Lake Whatcom. The reserve is protected by the Whatcom Land Trust and the Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department, and is accessible to the community through a 3.1-mile hiking loop. The reserve is also notable for its mature 2nd-growth conifers, western sword ferns, and salmonberry. Please note that pets are not allowed in the reserve to protect sensitive wildlife habitat
