What to expect

McIntire Park is a popular park featuring rolling land with magnificent views of the mountains, a heavily wooded area with steep and varied topography, and winding streams. The park has a major community focus on the lighted softball fields, baseball field, and three shelters used extensively from spring to fall. The east side of the park is home to the Charlottesville Skate Park and Vietnam Veterans Memorial, as well as the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont. A variety of paved and nature trails traverse the property, making it a great place to visit with family and friends.
