What to expect

Hickman Bridge is a 125-foot-tall natural bridge located in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah. The bridge spans 133 feet and is one of the largest rock spans in the park. The trail to the bridge is considered moderate difficulty and is 2 miles round trip. Along the trail, hikers can see a small arch, a Fremont pit house ruin, and a granary. The trail also offers scenic views of the surrounding canyon and the Fremont River. The area is home to native plants such as Utah juniper, Mormon tea, pinyon pine, and prickly pear cactus, as well as animals like bighorn sheep and mountain lions. The best time to visit is in the spring and fall, as the summer sun can be intense and the winter snowfall can be light
