What to expect

The Fruita Campground is a developed campground with 71 sites, each having a picnic table and fire pit and/or above ground grill. The campground is adjacent to the Fremont River and surrounded by historic orchards, making it an oasis within the desert. There is a RV dump and potable water fill station near the entrance to Loops A and B, and restrooms with running water and flush toilets. Accessible sites are located adjacent to restrooms. Campers often see Mule Deer in the campground, and it's essential to keep a distance of 30 feet between you and the deer. Fires may be built only in the grills and campfire rings provided, and firewood can be purchased at the Gifford House or local stores. The campground has a 14-day stay limit per year, and reservations must be made in 5-day segments
