Long Canyon

Canyon Thompson, Utah, United States

What to expect

Long Canyon is a beautiful and easy trail, beginning just off of 313 heading towards Dead Horse Park. The trail is primarily rock, with no major obstacles, and features a wash crossing, a giant rock underpass, and several switchbacks. The road is wide for most of the trail, with places for passing near the narrow spots. The trail offers stunning views and is suitable for high-clearance 4x4 vehicles, SUVs, SxS, ATVs, and dirt bikes. It's a great place to visit, with possible viewing of mountain sheep near the top of the canyon, and visitors are reminded to stay at least 25 yards away from wildlife and to Tread Lightly in protected environments
