Cecret Lake is a small alpine lake located in the Albion Basin of Little Cottonwood Canyon near Alta Ski Area in Utah. The lake is surrounded by quartz monzonite and is a protected watershed area that supplies drinking water for the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The lake can be accessed via a 1.8-mile out-and-back trail that is considered moderately challenging and is a popular day trip from Salt Lake City. The trail is family-friendly and offers beautiful mountain views and a stunning lake. However, it can be steep and muddy in some areas, and sturdy hiking shoes and plenty of water are recommended
