What to expect

Double Arch is an incredible formation of arches within the Windows area of Arches National Park, an area with the largest concentration of natural arches in the entire world. Double Arch takes its name because it consists of two arches that share the same stone as a foundation for both of their outer legs. The arches are the tallest and second-longest in the park, with the tallest arch being 112 ft/34 m and the second-longest being 144 ft/44 m. A gently sloping path leads to the base of the arches, and the trail is considered easy and barrier-free, making it accessible to wheelchairs with some assistance. The area surrounding Double Arch is full of unique and captivating stone formations, with many arches among them, including the Parade of Elephants, Turret Arch, and the Windows. The Windows area is considered by some to be the beating heart of Arches National Park, with a large concentration of arches and scenic locations. The trail to Double Arch is short, and there are many attractions packed into a small area, making it a great place to visit with family
