Aztec Butte is a moderate hike with spectacular views and historical significance. The trail follows a sandy wash and then splits, with the eastern fork ascending Aztec Butte and the western fork climbing to two granaries. The hike requires scrambling up slickrock and ledges, and entering or touching the ancient structures is strictly prohibited. The trail is not accessible to wheelchairs and can be rough and uneven. Dogs are not allowed, but service animals are permitted. The hike offers stunning views, and the granaries are an interesting historical feature. Families with children can enjoy the hike, but should be aware of the scrambling required and the need to be respectful of the ancient structures
