Port Aransas Beach is a 6.3 mile-long stretch of beach where visitors can enjoy swimming, boogie boarding, bodysurfing, and surfing. The beach is also great for sunbathing, relaxing, or playing games like frisbee and volleyball. The beach allows driving, making it easy to bring all your items for a beach day, fishing, or surfing. Dogs are also welcome, but must be kept on a leash. Additionally, there are several nearby parks and nature preserves, including Mustang Island State Park and I.B. Magee Beach Park, which offer camping, fishing, and birding opportunities. The beach is also patrolled by lifeguards during certain times of the year, and there are warning systems in place for rip currents
