Monahans Sandhills State Park is a 3,840-acre state park located in the southern Llano Estacado in Ward County and Winkler County, Texas. The park is known for its sand dunes, which can reach up to 70 feet high, and its unique desert environment. Visitors can explore the dunes on foot or horseback, rent sand disks and surf the dunes, and learn about the park's natural and cultural history at the Dunagan Visitors Center. The park also offers camping facilities, including 26 campsites with water and electricity, and a group hall and pavilion for events. The park is a great place for families, with activities such as sandboarding, 'sand football', and sand tobogganing, and a Junior Ranger program for kids. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including rodents and coyotes, and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape
