What to expect

Chestnut Square Historic Village is a collection of historic homes, a wedding chapel, a general store, and a replica of a one-room schoolhouse situated on 2.5 acres. The village offers a chance to step back in time and experience how people lived in Collin County from 1854-1920. The grounds include period artifacts, a blacksmith shop, smokehouse, and beautiful reception gardens. Visitors can enjoy various events, including the McKinney Farmers Market, Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk, haunted tours, and farm-to-table dinners. The village is also home to several historic buildings, such as the 1854 Faires House, the 1863 'Two Bit' Taylor Inn, and the 1870 Dulaney Cottage, which showcase the history and heritage of Collin County
