The Cactus Rocks Trail is a 1.2-mile loop trail located in the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge near Leander, Texas. The trail is perfect for kids, hikers, trail runners, and birding expeditions, with scenic views of large rock formations and a variety of plant life. Activities: We hiked the Cactus Rocks Trail, which is an easy loop trail that can be combined with other trails for a longer hike. The trail is mostly flat with Juniper trees on either side. There are 16 numbered rock markers with a warbler painted on them
Highlights: The first half of the trail is very easy and mostly flat. There were benches under trees along the way to stop for a rest. It was great to learn about the Warbler and other plants and animals along the trail ✨
