What to expect

The Houston Zoo is a 55-acre zoological park located within Hermann Park in Houston, Texas. The zoo houses over 6,000 animals from more than 900 species and receives around 2 million visitors each year. It features various exhibits, including the African Forest, McNair Asian Elephant Habitat, Birds, Carnivores, Allen H. and Ethel G. Carruth Natural Encounters, Wortham World of Primates, Texas Wetlands, Reptile and Amphibian House, and Bug House. The zoo offers a range of activities and experiences, including Meet the Keeper Talks and animal feedings. Visitors can also enjoy the zoo's naturalistic habitats and learn about the importance of conservation and wildlife preservation
