Beach access

Trail Dripping Springs, Texas, United States

What to expect

Hamilton Pool Preserve is a historic swimming hole with a 50-foot waterfall and a pool that stays pretty constant, even during periods of drought. The preserve is home to the Golden-Cheeked Warbler and a great variety of other birds, and has diverse vegetation ranging from semi-arid species in the uplands to riparian species in the canyon. However, swimming is not guaranteed due to falling rocks, and the section of the trail that runs underneath the overhanging cliff is closed. The preserve offers hiking trails, picnic tables, and portable toilets, making it a great place to visit with family and friends

Activities: From the nature trail, we took the flat wide trail to the beach access. All of the kids had the best time playing in the sand, and sticking their feet in the freezing water
