Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a scenic landscape feature in the Texas Panhandle, known as the 'Grand Canyon of Texas'. The park offers fantastic scenic views, historical sites, picnic tables, public restrooms and showers, miles of hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, and a variety of camping and parking areas. The canyon was formed by the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River and features multicolored layers of rock and steep mesa walls. Visitors can explore the canyon by foot, mountain bike, horse, or car, and enjoy activities such as geocaching, nature study, and bird watching. The park also features the TEXAS Outdoor Musical, a family-friendly show with singing, dancing, and fireworks. Additionally, the park has an all-terrain wheelchair available for use and offers guided tours and ranger programs
