What to expect

Palo Duro Canyon is a scenic canyon in Texas, offering fantastic views, historical sites, and a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The canyon has over 16 miles of paved road and more than 20 miles of trails, including the CCC Trail, which descends 500 feet through four geologic layers from the canyon rim to the canyon floor. Families can enjoy easy trails like the Pioneer Nature Trail, which is a 0.4-mile loop that's great for kids, and the Sunflower Trail, a 1.2-mile one-way trail that's shady and family-friendly. The canyon also features unique attractions like The Canyon Gallery, which offers historical video productions, archeological and nature exhibits, and Southwest art for sale. With its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife, Palo Duro Canyon is a great place to visit with family and friends
