The park offers various outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, mountain biking, bicycling, swimming, birding, and wildlife observation. Onion Creek, which flows through the park, provides swimming and fishing opportunities. Visitors can explore the remains of an early Texas homestead and a very old rock shelter. The park also has a visitor center with an observation deck offering a great view of the Upper Falls, and a bat cave.
