What to expect

Tom Lee Park is a 30-acre city park located in Memphis, Tennessee, overlooking the Mississippi River. The park offers panoramic views of the river and the shores of Arkansas on the opposite side. It is a popular location for walkers, joggers, roller bladers, and cyclists. The park hosts several events throughout the year, including the Beale Street Music Festival, which is part of the Memphis in May celebration. The park also features a playground called Life on the River, a Sunset Canopy for pick-up basketball and events, and a public artwork inspired by Tom Lee. The park is named after Tom Lee, an African-American riverworker who saved the lives of 32 passengers of the sinking steamboat M.E. Norman in 1925
