Lichterman Nature Center

Lichterman Nature Center is a certified arboretum and nature center located in East Memphis, Tennessee. It features exciting exhibits, lush gardens with native wildflowers and trees, a forest boardwalk three stories high, and a tradition of excellence in environmental education. The center has a variety of outdoor and indoor animal exhibits, including a Backyard Wildlife Center with live animals, hands-on explorations, and microscopic discoveries. Visitors can enjoy nature walks, wildlife programs, plant sales, festivals, and other activities designed to expose and build connections between participants and the natural world. The center also has a Discovery Forest, an unstructured play area with guided trails and natural materials for creative play and interaction with nature.
