Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park is a 14-acre park located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. The park features a lush lawn perfect for family picnics, a nautical-themed playground, and a 1,250-foot-long pier where visitors can sit, swing, and try their hand at fishing. The park also includes the Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Pavilion, a tribute to the generations of men and women who have carried on the Lowcountry sweetgrass basket tradition. Additionally, the park has a War Memorial, a Visitor Center, and the River Watch Cafe, which offers soft-serve ice cream and beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor.
