The Fort Pitt Museum is an indoor/outdoor museum located in Point State Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It tells the story of Western Pennsylvania's pivotal role during the French & Indian War, the American Revolution, and as the birthplace of Pittsburgh. The museum features interactive exhibitions, life-like historical figures, and 18th-century artifacts. It is situated at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, where the Ohio River is formed, and is surrounded by Point State Park. The museum is a two-floor, 12,000-square-foot facility that provides visitors with a rich understanding of the world-changing events that occurred in Western Pennsylvania. The museum also offers living history demonstrations during the summer months, where colonial reenactors showcase what life was like in the 1700s
