The Cathedral of Learning is a 42-story skyscraper that serves as the centerpiece of the University of Pittsburgh's main campus. It is the tallest educational building in the Western Hemisphere and features a mix of Late Gothic Revival and Art Deco architectural styles. The building contains over 2,000 rooms and windows, including 31 Nationality Rooms designed by members of Pittsburgh's ethnic communities. These rooms are decorated in the style of different nations and ethnic groups, symbolizing the diversity of the Pittsburgh community. The Cathedral of Learning also features a four-story Commons Room, classrooms, computer labs, a theater, and a food court. It is a landmark listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is often used by the university in photographs and advertisements
