What to expect

The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center is a place where visitors can learn about the Battle of Gettysburg, a turning point in the Civil War. The museum is owned and operated by the Gettysburg Foundation and offers a variety of exhibits and activities. Visitors can stop by the National Park Service Information Desk to talk to a friendly park ranger and get more information about the offerings in the Museum and Visitor Center. The park also offers a self-guided Auto Tour with sixteen stops, which can be explored with the help of a park map and brochure or through a virtual tour with a Park Ranger. The museum is accessible, with accommodations for visitors with disabilities, and service dogs are welcome. However, pets are not allowed in the Museum and Visitor Center, and bicycles are not permitted on the sidewalks or walking paths
