Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a scenic spot with stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. It's part of the Three Capes Scenic Route, along with Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. The area offers great opportunities for hang gliding, kite flying, and watching dory boats. Visitors can climb to the top of Cape Kiwanda for breathtaking views of Nestucca Bay and Cape Lookout. However, it's essential to stay safe and not cross the fence line, as the cliff edge can crumble without warning. The beach north of the cape is popular for picnics and offers a great spot to watch the dory boats. The area is also home to a sea stack called 'Chief Kiwanda rock' and features a unique rock formation called the 'Duckbill'
