What to expect

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is a premier institution of Western history, art, and culture. The museum features over 28,000 Western and Native American art works and artifacts, including an extensive collection of paintings by Charles Marion Russell and Frederic Remington. Visitors can explore the American Cowboy Gallery, the American Rodeo Gallery, and the Native American Gallery, among others. The museum also houses Prosperity Junction, a 14,000-square-foot authentic turn-of-the-century Western prairie town, and Liichokoshkomo’, an interactive children's museum with hands-on learning activities. The museum hosts various events, including the National Day of the Cowboy and the Goin’ West Music Fest, making it a great place to visit with family and friends
