What to expect
The Harn Homestead is a historic outdoor museum showcasing life in Territorial Oklahoma. The homestead features several historic buildings, including the 1904 Harn House, the 1897 Stoney Point one-room schoolhouse, the 1904 Shinn Barn, the 1909 Farmhouse, the 1890 Shepherd House, and the stone and cedar Event Barn. These buildings help guests experience what life was like in the early days of Oklahoma. The Harn Homestead also offers private event space rental and hosts special events throughout the year. It's a great place for families to visit and learn about the state's history

Oklahoma City – April 8-13
Activities: We went to a day of homeschooling at the museum, retracing the life of farmers in the late 1800s. On the program: a strict class with calculations on slates, farm life, and history. We dressed up in period clothes and cooked over a wood fire
Highlights: Only Lucie really enjoyed it. Maybe because we had already visited several identical sites, we didn't learn much that day ✨
