Brandywine Falls

Brandywine Falls is a 60-foot waterfall located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio. The falls are surrounded by a gorge and offer a boardwalk and viewing areas for visitors. The area has a rich history, with a saw mill built in 1814 and a thriving village that grew around it. Today, visitors can enjoy the falls and explore the surrounding trails, including the 1.5-mile Brandywine Gorge Loop. The falls are also a great spot to observe seasonal changes, with fall colors and spring vernal pools. The waterfall's bridal-veil pattern is more pronounced with less water, and in winter, ice becomes the main attraction. The area is accessible, with a lower viewing deck requiring visitors to walk down approximately 80 steps. Additional trails link together to create the Brandywine Gorge Loop, a mostly unpaved 1.4-mile route that travels the deep, wooded ravine created by Brandywine Creek
