Lower Cascade Falls

Lower Cascade Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in Hanging Rock State Park. The falls can be accessed via a short, moderate 0.8-mile out-and-back hike. The trail is generally considered easy and takes an average of 20 minutes to complete. The pool at the waterfall's base is a popular swimming hole and a great way to cool off in the warmer months. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. The area is also home to rock outcroppings with scenic vistas, Schweinitz's sunflower, and Wehrle's salamander
