The Wright Brothers National Memorial commemorates the first successful, sustained, powered flights in a heavier-than-air machine. The memorial is located in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, and features a 60-foot granite monument perched atop a 90-foot-tall hill, as well as a visitor center with exhibits and a replica of the Wright brothers' 1903 flyer. Visitors can walk along the actual routes of the four flights, see reproductions of the brothers' 1903 camp buildings, and explore the grounds to learn about the history of flight. The memorial also offers interpretive programs and a museum with models and actual tools and machines used by the Wright brothers during their flight experiments
