Harriman State Park is a 47,527-acre park located in Rockland and Orange counties, offering over 200 miles of hiking trails, 31 lakes, multiple streams, public camping areas, and great vistas. The park is a haven for hikers, with trails such as the Appalachian Trail, Long Path, and Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. Visitors can also enjoy biking, kayaking, or climbing, and explore the park's many lakes and reservoirs, including Lakes Welch, Sebago, Tiorati, and Silvermine. The park has two beaches, two public camping areas, and a network of group camps, making it an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Dogs are allowed in certain areas, but must be on a leash and display a rabies tag
