What to expect

Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment hub, and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City. It is formed by the junction of Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street. The area is known for its bright lights, giant digital billboards, and advertisements, as well as its entertainment options, including Broadway theaters and restaurants. Times Square is one of the world's busiest pedestrian areas and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. It is also the site of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop, which attracts over a million visitors to the area each year. The area has a rich history, having been previously known as Longacre Square, and was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the area
