What to expect

The Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs is a permanent exhibition located in the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. It features fossils from one of the two major groups of dinosaurs, characterized by grasping hands with the thumb offset from the other fingers. The hall includes exhibits such as the iconic mounts of Tyrannosaurus rex, Apatosaurus, and Allosaurus, as well as the Glen Rose Trackway, Deinonychus, Coelophysis, and Velociraptor. Visitors can also explore the history of paleontology at the Museum, view a Diplodocus pelvis found in 1897, and see models of a preparation lab and a fossil site in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert. The hall is suitable for all ages and is included with general admission
