The Church of St. Joseph of the Holy Family is a historic Catholic church located in the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It is the oldest existing church in Harlem and above 44th Street in Manhattan. The church was built in 1860 in the Romanesque Revival style and features a red brick masonry structure with a single bell tower and rounded arched windows. The church has undergone several alterations, including an enlargement in 1871 and an alteration in 1889 by the Herter Brothers. The church is associated with the African-American community and sponsors a weekly food pantry and clothing bank for the community. The church also has a gospel choir and offers Masses in English and Spanish
