What to expect

Bowling Green is New York City's oldest park, located in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. The park has a long history dating back to colonial times, serving as a council ground for Native American tribes and the site of the legendary sale of Manhattan to Peter Minuit in 1626. It was designated as a park in 1733 and features a historic cast-iron fence, a statue of Charging Bull, and a central fountain. The park is surrounded by several historic buildings, including the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House and the International Mercantile Marine Company Building. Activities: We stopped by Bowling Green Park on our way to the National Museum of the American Indian. The park is a beautiful green space in the heart of the Financial District

Highlights: It was nice to have a little green space in the middle of the busy Financial District. We enjoyed a quick picnic lunch in the park and let the kids run around for a while ✨
