What to expect

Bethesda Terrace is a large plaza in Central Park, located at the north end of the Mall, overlooking the Ramble and the Lake. The terrace has two levels, connected by two grand staircases and a smaller one, and features the majestic Bethesda Fountain, also known as the Angel of the Waters. The terrace was designed by Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted, with intricate carvings by Jacob Wrey Mould, depicting scenes of nature, including the times of day and the four seasons. The plaza is a popular destination for relaxing, people-watching, and admiring the architecture and scenery. It's a great place for families to visit, with plenty of space for kids to run around and enjoy the views
