Mongaup Pond is a great place to visit with family and friends, offering well-kept and roomy campsites, great fishing, and boat and canoe rentals. The pond has a surface area of 122 acres, a maximum depth of 11 feet, and a shoreline length of 2.7 miles. It is home to various fish species, including Brook Trout, Chain Pickerel, Pumpkinseed, Bluegill, Yellow Perch, and Smallmouth Bass. The nearby Catskill Fish Hatchery is also worth visiting. The campground has rules in place to protect the environment, such as prohibiting the use of trailered boats and limiting the use of generators. Pets are allowed with proof of current rabies vaccination, and there are accessible sites available for visitors with mobility impairments
