Taos Pueblo is a traditional adobe settlement that represents the culture of the Pueblo Indians of Arizona and New Mexico. The pueblo consists of multi-storey adobe dwellings built in terraced tiers, with walls made of sun-dried mud brick. The settlement has been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years and is the largest of the pueblos that still exist. Visitors can explore the pueblo's unique architecture, including its defensive wall, sacred ruins, and ceremonial racetrack. The pueblo is also home to a number of significant cultural and historical sites, including the ruins of the original Spanish church, San Geronimo de Taos. The surrounding landscape, including the Taos mountains and the Rio Grande, provides a stunning backdrop to the pueblo
