The Albuquerque BioPark is an environmental museum that contains four separate facilities: the ABQ BioPark Aquarium, the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden, the ABQ BioPark Zoo, and Tingley Beach. The aquarium features a 285,000-US-gallon ocean tank with Gulf of Mexico saltwater species, while the botanic garden includes a 10,000-square-foot glass conservatory housing plants from desert and Mediterranean climate zones. The zoo is home to over 250 species of exotic and native animals, including Asian elephants, reticulated giraffes, and polar bears. Tingley Beach offers a fishing lake, model boating lake, picnic areas, and paths. The BioPark also operates a narrow gauge railroad that connects these facilities, and a new electric tram is planned to transport visitors between the zoo, botanical gardens, and aquarium
