Sunset Beach

Beach Cape May, New Jersey, United States

What to expect

Sunset Beach is a beach located on the Cape May Peninsula, near Cape May Point, along the Delaware Bay. It's a local tourist attraction due to its proximity to the SS Atlantus, also known as the Concrete Ship, and the Cape May Lighthouse. The beach is known for its flag raising-lowering ceremony, which takes place daily from Memorial Day weekend through August, and on Saturdays in September. Visitors can also find Cape May diamonds, clear quartz crystals that can be easily found along the beach's length. The beach is a great spot for families, with activities such as miniature golf, shopping, and a grille. Additionally, the beach is a stopover for migratory birds and monarch butterflies, and whales can be seen from May to December
