Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park, also known as Scout's Rest Ranch, is a living history state park that showcases the life and career of William F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody. The park features a 25-acre historic area with Cody's 18-room mansion, built in 1886, and several outbuildings, including a barn that now houses a collection of antique carriages and memorabilia from Cody's Wild West Show. The park offers self-guided tours of the mansion and grounds, which include a variety of trees and plants that Cody planted himself. Visitors can also explore the nearby Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area, which offers fishing, guided trail rides, and rental of kayaks, canoes, and other equipment
