Bowman Lake is a peaceful lake located in the northwestern portion of Glacier National Park in Montana. The lake is approximately one mile wide and eight miles in length, offering a front country campsite at its head and a backcountry one at its base. Visitors can enjoy a picnic area, day hiking opportunities, and recreational activities such as fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. The lake is also home to a variety of wildlife and offers scenic views. The Bowman Lake Trail departs from the northeast corner of the campground, near the northwestern lakeshore, and is 6.7 miles from Bowman Lake Campground to Brown Pass. Motorized boats of 10 horsepower or less are allowed on the lake
