What to expect

The Dogwood Trail is a 2.2-mile loop trail located in the central portion of Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, Missouri. The trail features several steep inclines and takes hikers through a variety of forest habitats, including moist, green valleys and heavily wooded sections. The trail also features chert, flint-like rock, exposed in some of the slopes of dry ridges. The trail is open year-round and is suitable for hiking, trail running, and walking. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but must be on a leash. The trail is considered challenging and features an altitude change of 300 feet, with the highest point being 201 meters above sea level. The trail is a great place to visit for families who enjoy outdoor activities and want to explore the natural beauty of the park
