What to expect

The Colosseum Trail is a 1.0-km loop trail near Camdenton, Missouri, that is generally considered a challenging route. The trail winds under a natural bridge and through a large sinkhole, known as the Colosseum, which is part of the Ha Ha Tonka Karst Natural Area. The natural bridge is a massive stone arch that spans 60 feet, is 100 feet high, and is 70 feet wide. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime, with spring wildflowers abundant in the sheltered enclave. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. The trail is suitable for hiking, trail running, and birding, and offers scenic views, including a lovely view of flowering dogwood, redbud, and serviceberry from the wooden platform where the trail begins
